21st Singapore International Stroke Conference

The Singapore International Stroke Conference (SISC) has reached its 21st edition. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to this latest edition, set to take place from 15 to 17 October 2026 at the Academia, Singapore General Hospital Campus in Singapore. As a premier regional beacon of knowledge exchange and global collaboration, SISC continues to establish a dynamic platform for showcasing the latest clinical advancements and fostering international partnerships in stroke management.
Our theme for 2026 — “Advancing the Future of Stroke Care: Innovation, Integration and Impact”— reflects a shared vision of a stroke community that leverages cutting-edge science, technology, and coordinated care systems to deliver healthcare that truly transforms the lives of stroke patients.
Significant progress is rapidly reshaping our field. During this year’s main conference scientific sessions, we will dive deeply into these therapeutic frontiers, highlighting critical updates across several core domains:
-
Hyperacute & Acute Reperfusion Interventions: Reviewing the latest Tenecteplase trials, the evolving landscape of MeVO thrombectomy, and antithrombotic controversies.
-
Haemorrhagic Stroke Management: Exploring recent trial data on hemostatic therapies, and advanced minimally invasive surgical approaches (MIPS).
-
Precision Prevention & Therapeutics: Navigating the role of FXIa inhibitors, GLP-1R/SGLT2 agents, and the management of small vessel disease and asymptomatic carotid stenosis.
-
Specialised Patient Populations: Addressing unique real-world care challenges in both young stroke management and elderly stroke care.
True to the culture of the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) stroke community, the trans-professional element remains strongly emphasized across all facets of our program. Fostering multi-disciplinary partnerships is always our highest priority to ensure a united front in pursuing optimal, equitable patient outcomes. This vision is deeply reflected in our four dedicated pre-conference workshops, which feature hands-on courses in Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgery (MIPS), precise neuroimaging for reperfusion therapy and update on intracranial atherosclerosis management, a seamless prevention-to-early-care pathway, and community-based post-stroke care focused on telerehabilitation and caregiver empowerment.
Your presence, expertise, and active involvement are the absolute keys to our collective advancement in stroke care. We warmly invite you to join us on-site in the heart of vibrant and modern Singapore for three days of rich academic exchange.
